Heavy Vehicle Body Builder / Welder

JOB DESCRIPTION

A full time position exists for an experienced medium body builder / welder to join a long established company in Western Sydney.

Reporting to the Service Manager, your daily duties will include fabrication / welding repairs to semi-trailers. Previous experience working with heavy vehicles / trailers is essential as well as an Australian trade qualification as a boilermaker, body builder or fabricator.


Previous experience in a similar role or within a smash repair workshop is required.
Required skills / experience include;
  • Previous experience in maintaining and repairing semi trailer and rigid truck bodies
  • Ability to weld steel 1.6mm - 16mm (MIG) and alloy 2 - 6mm (MIG)
  • Competent in curtain welding 
  • Able to conduct a chassis alignment
  • Carry out basic auto electrical jobs
