Davis Made Building is a family owned and operated business with over 20 years’ experience in custom home construction. Our quality projects are based in the Mornington Peninsula. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a skilled Bricklayer to join our dedicated team.

The Bricklayer must be able to read and analyse building plans, check specifications, determine the most accurate layout, and mark guidelines. You will be highly experienced in constructing and repairing veneer and full brick construction, partitions, arches, and other structures. 

Responsibilities:

• Analysing and interpreting building plans.

• Interpreting work orders and determining the materials required.

• Measuring distance from reference points.

• Calculating angles and determining the vertical and horizontal alignment of courses.

• Laying bricks using mortar as a binder and a trowel to level.

• Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement.

• Working safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights.

• Using equipment and tools effectively to perform basic construction tasks.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Trade qualification or minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience 

• White Card

• Driver licence

• Ability to work cooperatively with other trades

• Analytical and problem solving

• Decision making 

• Good communication and listening skills

• Time management skills

This is full-time position, 38 hours per week. Plus, reasonable overtime. 

Salary range -$ 60,000 - $70,000
