About the role

You'll be part of the Enterprise Testing Service which provides Quality Engineering services to the Technology & Transformation Division in support of the Bank's change agenda. As the Senior Quality Engineer working as a part of a delivery team you will deliver quality outcomes and customer value by accurately planning, preparing, executing, and reporting the testing of systems and applications prior to production deployment. Your work will be focused on delivering excellent outcomes for our New Payments Platform.

Responsibilities include…
  • Providing technical and thought leadership on Quality Engineering tools, techniques, and processes.
  • Providing support to business stakeholders and end users in the planning, preparation, and execution of User Acceptance Testing.
  • Delivering testing outcomes including test requirements and test cases.
  • Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to understand scope and determine appropriate test approach.
  • Identifying environment and data requirements for testing activities.
  • Learn and grow test automation skills to be able to effectively apply automation in delivery.
  • Drive an Automation led approach and contribute to platform integration tests.
  • Apply knowledge of CI/CD frameworks to validate and confirm traceability.
  • Participate in Industry testing as required, including representing the bank at industry forums.
About you
  • Demonstrated previous experience as a Tester or Quality Engineer at a senior level, ideally you'll have Test Automation experience.
  • Experience with testing the New Payments Platform (NPP) / Osko.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Java, Maven test automation tools such as selenium / cucumber), BDD/TDD and test management tools.
  • Experience in testing messaging applications using tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, Talend or similar.
  • Agile and waterfall experience with an understanding of how quality engineering functions in an agile delivery environment.
  • You'll thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment, whilst bringing your ideas to innovate.
  • You'll be a team player who is well versed in test automation, agile methodologies, and the use of testing tools.
