An exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join the Construction Policy team, in helping deliver the Victorian Government unprecedented capital investment and infrastructure program.

The Infrastructure Delivery Group plays a key role in the Victorian economy, lifting productivity, boosting economic growth and improving the standard of living for Victorians. Infrastructure investment is also an important mechanism to generate economic stimulus and is currently playing a role in the Government's response to the economic impacts of COVID 19.
About the role
This role presents a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join the Construction Policy team, in helping deliver the Victorian Government's unprecedented capital investment and infrastructure program.
Reporting to the Director in an ongoing role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and influencing policy advice and providing analysis on a range of related public construction procurement and public construction matters and issues
- Ensuring Victoria's Public Construction Procurement Framework is relevant and responsive by developing further reform opportunities to support the effective functioning of the framework to support the efficient delivery of the Government's infrastructure pipeline.
About you
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following:
- A good practical understanding of how construction projects are delivered in Victoria, including construction contracts
- Well-developed analytical, conceptual and writing skills and experience in developing government policy
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated experience in writing and delivering briefings within tight timeframes
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with stakeholder management engagement and the confidence to represent the branch and Department in external forums.
- Good working knowledge and experience in public construction policy
- Formal qualifications in the areas of Commerce, Law, Economics, Finance, Engineering or another related field
