JOB DESCRIPTION

We're looking for a construction survey manager (with experience and a passion for project and unit management, fieldwork, and business development) to join a well-established team working on a range of complex projects across commercial, healthcare, and various forms of residential developments.

This is a hands-on role with a broad range of responsibilities including

  • Liaising with the clients to ensure all project deliverables are met
  • Facilitating project delivery to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest possible quality
  • Coordinating resources to minimise unnecessary expenditure and ensure smooth delivery of the project
  • Follow up on works in the field to ensure optimal safety and conformance to standards

Experience required:

  • Good project management experience
  • Hands-on working knowledge of surveying methods and techniques
  • Well organised and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Able to identify and address opportunities for continuous improvement of process, and service delivery
  • Labour cost control and responsibility for the forecasting of budgets
  • Strong analytical skills and solid commercial acumen
  • Teamwork and effective communication

About You

  • You will have either worked as a senior Surveyor or Survey Manager in the construction sector.
  • Bachelor of Surveying / Geomatics Engineering or equivalent
  • You will have a keen interest in outdoor, surveying practical site work.
  • You will have the ability to work well within a close-knit team and to thrive upon the responsibility of managing team members and clients.
  • You will also enjoy the challenge of managing double-volume work on-site, with deadlines, often higher than normal expectations.
  • Some travel will be involved in order to carry out our survey projects.
