JOB DESCRIPTION

The City of Parramatta is going through unprecedented change and transformation as it becomes Sydney’s Central City. In this role you will be reporting directly to the WHS and Wellbeing Manager and partnering with business stakeholders as you support them with specialist advice and knowledge across Health & Wellbeing programs.

You will be involved with supporting our leaders in developing targeted strategies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, and will be part of a new team who will work together to lift our staff health and wellbeing standards to a new level.


About the Role

The key elements of the position is to develop and implement Health & Wellbeing programs that align with the overarching WHS & Wellbeing strategy. This would include project managing relevant initiatives to ensure effective implementation.


The WHS Advisor (Health & Wellbeing) will work alongside a team of five (5) WHS Specialists, including the WHS and Wellbeing Manager. This is also a specialist role within the team that will require the successful candidate to display a high level of competence and prove to be outcome focused.


You will have the support of a high-performing P&C team who are equally passionate about delivering specialist advice, technical and management support to a dynamic organisation.


About the Person

This is an ideal role for an experienced WHS advisor who is well-versed in the following tasks:


  • Plan, research, develop and deliver evidence-based Health & Wellbeing programs
  • Actively promoting engagement, accessibility and uptake of programs
  • Continuously improve the effectiveness of health and wellbeing programs
  • Providing training and support to management and staff to understand programs offered.

Qualifications (Level)

  • Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in WHS
  • Class C Driver Licence


Experience

  • A subject matter expert on the range of contemporary health and wellbeing services provided to workplaces
  • Thorough knowledge of WHS legislative framework, current trends and industry best practice of health and wellbeing programs
  • Experience in managing projects, programs and vendor partners across diverse stakeholder groups


What’s on offer?
We are offering an attractive salary starting from $90,257.13 to $99,371.87 p.a. plus superannuation.

City of Parramatta also offer excellent employee benefits which can be accessed by the successful candidate including flexibility and a 35 hour week.
