Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting risk assessments, reporting, audits and training and assessments where required
• Assist in the coordination and review of WH&S processes and functions across the organisation
• Assist in providing support/advice to staff on WH&S issues
• Providing, coordinating and facilitating training courses for employees, clients and contractors
• Ensuring compliance with legislation
• Maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
• Advocate a safe work culture to whole organisation
• Assist department with any other ad-hoc duties where required

What you need to be considered for this position:

• Certificate IIII or IV in Workplace Health and Safety
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a matrix structure team
• Experience in the health industry, CDP or employment services will be highly regarded
• Experience in Fire Safety including drafting Fire Evacuation Plans highly regarded
• Current open driver’s license
• Hold a current Working with Children/Vulnerable People clearance or the ability to obtain
• Hold a current (within last 3 months) National Police Check or ability to obtain
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Flexibility to travel, including to remote areas, as required
