About The Role
Role Location: 839 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008
Role Type: Permanent - Full Time

As a Risk Infrastructure Architect, you will be working in a high performing team developing and implementing solutions around data and Risk decision systems while ensuring the Risk decision systems are compliant for data use and aligned to BCBS239 principles. You will also will collaborate with the Risk business for the understand of Business terms and their consumption use cases. Part of your responsibility is to engage with the wider Data and Technology teams in Bank to ensure alignment of the Risk Data Model with ongoing changes and advancements with Risk Transformation in relation to our Risk Infrastructure. You are also expected to be effective at translating Change requirements documented as User Stories and have a mindset to deliver business value while anticipating any impacts as a consequence of the changes.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
  • Educated to degree level in a numerate or commercial discipline
  • Effective people and stakeholder management skills - with the ability to motivate and manage members across squads
  • Expertise in data modelling principles (FIBO, etc.) and have managed a Data Model
  • Proven ability to support delivery squad demands for support for data modeling and reviews
  • A successful track record in Banking and or Finance systems/data. Relevant experience in Risk or Risk management systems. This includes experience in a number of components of the credit life cycle, in at least 1 or more product areas and in at least 2 functional areas across Risk
  • Understanding of operational/run and analytical use cases for managing data
  • Strong data focus, with the ability to think along Value streams and supporting change or delivery
  • Ability to understand and align priorities to Value metrics of the services and their Operational impacts
  • Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and work under pressure to achieve deadlines
  • Good business acumen, understanding cost vs benefit and prioritisation
  • Well-developed written and oral skills
  • Strong analytic and statistical skills, experience in business use and knowledge of one or more of the following tools; SAS, SPSS, Ab Initio, Informatica, Decision Engines and database systems (Oracle, SQL, No SQL, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong capabilities to articulate complex analytical information. Strong facilitation and negotiation skills
