JOB DESCRIPTION
AdvancedMPS are looking for underground Mining Engineers with 2-10 years underground experience.
Reporting to the Mining Consulting Manager, you will be working closely with other AdvancedMPS consultants and various clients to provide production engineering expertise.
This position may involve a combination of FIFO and Fremantle office based work and may provide opportunities for international travel. As part of our innovative business structure we can provide various working rosters from a choice of locations.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Complete stope design and optimisation work
- Complete drill and blast design work on-site or from the Perth office
- Assist clients with on-site production engineering requirements
- Assist clients with short to medium term planning and scheduling requirements
- Assist AMPS Senior Consultants with client technical department optimisations & system implementations
- Provide Engineering input for development and improvement of AMPS training courses and LiveMine software
Selection Criteria
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
- 1-4 years’ experience in underground operations/engineering, ideally in base metals
- Completion of underground operation time highly regarded
- Strong commitment to quality and safety in the workplace
- Relevant exposure to projects in the Australian mining industry, either in operations or a similar consultancy role
- A current Australian manual driver’s license
- Understanding of the fundamental concepts of mine design, planning and scheduling process
- Exposure to mine design software
- Knowledge of drilling and blasting principles, practices, and procedures for either narrow vein or bulk mining methods.
