JOB DESCRIPTION
iCheck Building Surveyors and Consultants are a private building surveying firm specialising in assessing both residential and commercial buildings, which was established in 2012. We have a strong focus on efficiency and customer services and due to the growth of the company we have an opportunity for a self-motivated and ambitious individual with a friendly personality to join our team and provide support in various administrative duties.
Duties:
Working in a support role assisting a small team of assistant and senior building surveyors you will be responsible but not limited to the following tasks:

Answer telephones, general customer service and client liaison;

Distribute and send out daily mail;
-
Provide administration support to the building surveying technical team and maintain the smooth running of day to day office activities;

Data entry, including registration of new projects, preparing and issuing building permits and occupancy permits;

Process applications including file creation, covering letters, property information requests etc;
-
Processing expired or due to expire permits;
-
Take inspection bookings and record on inspection program;
-
Allocate inspections and notify sub contract inspectors;
-
Receive sub contract inspection results, record in our database program and send to client;

Basic accounts (i.e. generate invoices);
-
Manage databases, filing and archiving files;
-
Lodgement of government levies with Victorian Building Authority.
Essential Criteria
The successful applicant must display the following to be considered for this role:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

Well-developed time management and organisational skills;

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office;

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work;

Ability to complete tasks within designated timeframe and prioritise accordingly;

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and as an individual where required;

Maintain a positive attitude to work;
-
Previous experience in a customer service/administration role will be highly regarded.
