About the role

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with a ServiceNow background. You will primarily be supporting the team with product development and enhancements to the Group Risk and Compliance Module within ServiceNow. You will also be required to assist wherever possible with maintaining and enhancing other Saas applications under the Cloud Business Applications portfolio.

You will be required to assist and have input on scoping and analysing new requirements, providing potential solutions, advising on feasibility and effort as well as executing build to delivery.

You will work closely with stakeholders as well as the project and development teams. You are someone who enjoys working in hands-on roles, solving problems and leveraging enterprise tools, in a collaborative environment. You should embody a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading ServiceNow delivery projects
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating, analysing and defining requirements and proposed solutions
  • Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and designing and implementing changes
  • Estimating effort required for development and advising on value proposition to business
  • Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes
  • Advise and license software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, and testing and approving products
  • Ensure updates and certificate renewals are executed in a timely manner with minimal impact to other projects
  • Consult and assist on various application integrations with ServiceNow as required
  • Collaborate with various project teams and other engineers and solution architects across the business and provide advice when needed

Capabilities & Experience

  • Experience working on ServiceNow solutions
  • Knowledge across at recent ServiceNow versions: Madrid, New York and Orlando
  • Extensive andup-to-date knowledge of the ServiceNow platform including: Business Rules, Client Scripts, workflows, Update sets , Contextual security, Service Portal.
  • Strong scripting and development skills using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular JS and PowerShell
  • Relevant Industry certifications such as ServiceNow System Administrator, ServiceNow Implementation Specialist (ITSM, ITBM and ITOM) Certifications
  • Other IT Certifications highly regarded. E.g. ITIL foundations certification
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • In-Depth understanding of Service Catalogue
  • Experience working on custom Portal development in ServiceNow.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships with business partners and third-party stakeholders

Qualification/s required

Degree in Business, Commerce or Finance or equivalent is preferred or equivalent experience/aptitude.
