The ideal candidate would bring 10-15 Years experience delivering electrical consulting services on Building Services and Infrastructure Projects.

As a result of their success and continued growth in the Building Sector, our client is currently looking for an Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join their Brisbane team. The ideal candidate would bring 10-15 Years experience delivering electrical consulting services on Building Services and Infrastructure Projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Excellent Leadership
• Internal Project Management and cross-discipline coordination.
• Assist Section Manager and Senior Leadership with business development and strategy
• Compile and coordinate fee proposals.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships to formulate repeat opportunities.
• Electrical design for a range of projects, providing reports, studies, design calculations, drawings and specifications
• Design of lighting, LV power systems, lightning protection, passive ICT
• LV power system modelling and light modelling using industry standard software such as PowerCAD, AGI/Dialux
• Financial and Technical Project QA
• Site and building audits
• Attend and, on occasion, lead project meetings
• Liaise with authorities and contractors
• Carry out site superintendence and contract administration duties including witnessing & supporting commissioning activities
• Carry out independent reviews of others work
• Adhere to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Support business development-related activities with a strong track record of winning work with new and existing clients;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Positive, proactive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
• Previous experience in a similar role highly desirable
• The ability to use initiative and think outside the box
• Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
• CPEng and RPEQ Accreditation
• Substantial (10-15 years) experience in a building services consultancy
• Ability to independently undertake project and technical analyses, and report on results
• Comfortable in Client facing role, dealing with Clients in a professional and confident manner
• Ability to prepare and deliver detailed tender submissions and presentations.
