The Technology and Transformation Division develops and executes all IT and business change within the organisation; ensuring the strategic leverage of technology and Agile methodologies to deliver the Bankwest strategy.

Our Senior Quality Engineers are embedded inside scrum teams and are accountable for creating and executing manual and/or automated test cases to ensure that software applications meet business needs.

Planning, scheduling and reporting test outcomes to ensure stakeholder awareness of test effort, issues and agreement of test outcome. Applies the CBA quality standards to test assets. Contribute to strategic test automation initiatives to evolve testing automation practices and tools.

Your squad is accountable for delivering business outcomes and ensuring amazing customer experiences, at pace and with great quality. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you are the SME for Quality Practices and advocate quality every day within and for your squad

See yourself in our team? We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

• Deep understanding of quality attributes in SDLC and Quality Practices
• Strong knowledge and experience in modern software engineering methodologies (Design Thinking, Agile, Lean, DevOps, Continuous Delivery, UX)
• Excellent technical skills, able to work in pairs with developers especially for continuous delivery
• Extensive experience with development/testing complex systems and processes
• Stakeholder and organisational change management
• Excellent communication skills with influence
  

Additionally exposure to the following would be highly advantageous though not essential;

• Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and DevOps
• Sound understanding and/or working knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
• Cloud technologies and experience building cloud based applications
• Containerisation technologies and tools such as Docker
• Non-functional testing, such as performance and security testing
• Android or iOS development
• JavaScript (Angular, React)
• Strong capability using SAHI and DevTest
