One of Melbourne’s most recognisable builders has an exciting opportunity to join their group in a Senior Estimating role with a specific focus on Special Projects and Custom Builds

Your new role
Working as part of a close-knit estimating team and on projects that will potentially range from dual-occs, high-end builds and small medium density projects, the duties of the role will include but not be limited to

• Providing support to sales for pricing queries;
• Analysing plans and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials and labour estimates
• Preparing ‘Bill of Quantities’ which lists the individual components required for the project and related actions;
• Issuing purchase orders for the respective functions;
• Ensuring that a high level of accuracy and quality of work is maintained, with minimal errors;
• Assisting with supplier and contractor pricing enquiries Site cost calculations;
• Assisting management with new designs and cost analysis;
• Liaison and communication with trades, suppliers and internal team;
• Assist other Operational team members wherever possible;

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this opportunity it will be anticipated that you possess
• Proven experience in residential estimating role with exposure to projects outside of volume housing
• Ability to do frame takeoffs an advantage
• Strong Databuild skills or exposure to similar estimating software
• High levels of attention to detail
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Able to work in small team environment
