About the Role

Our Maintenance team is vital to the day to day success of Tip Top's Ermington site. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced electrician on our rotating day/night shift. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other site Electricians, Fitters and production teams to achieve high levels of plant optimisation and ensuring all relevant and required documentation is completed. 

As an integral member of the Ermington Maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring high quality maintenance services are provided to plant and equipment across the site.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Working safely and ensuring the safety of those around you
  • Routine maintenance and inspection through computerised maintenance systems
  • Managing electrical breakdown repairs through prioritising and carrying out repairs in a safe manner
  • Conducting root cause analysis on failures and ensuring follow up on identified actions.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with plant and machinery that may be mechanical or electrical in nature.
  • Machinery overhauls – plan scheduled shutdowns for modifications or overhauls
  • Following inventory management procedures to ensure adequate spare parts are kept on site

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • An understanding & Compliance with Safety Management Systems
  • A trade qualified electrical background with proven experience preferably in an FMCG or similar industry
  • Previous experience with plant and equipment repairs with ability to meet critical timelines
  • Experience with Robotics, Rockwell suite and PLC fault finding
  • Working knowledge of a CMMS, MEX preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of Lean manufacturing and RCM practises and processes
  • Ability to identify problems at root cause
  • Experience with pneumatic systems
  • A proactive commitment to ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others
  • The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
  • A self-starter outlook and a team player with a "can do" attitude
  • Strong communication skills to coach and influence change
  • The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
