JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Leading modular manufacturer
  • Major growth on the near horizon
  • Spearhead manufacturing design evolution

Our client is a long established manufacturer of modular buildings for the government and private sector. A significant employer of trades and semi-skilled workers, the organisation is a recognized brand and contributor to the Hunter's proud blue collar economy.

Acknowledging the changing interests and needs of customers and their stakeholders, our client is redesigning their service delivery capability. Design for manufacturing and assembly (DfMA) both lessens manufacturing complexity and increases assembly, safety and sustainability benefits.

Adapting DfMA practices represents both an evolutionary manufacturing and capital investment commitment, and accelerated growth opportunity. The design draftsperson will spearhead the shift, while supporting the transition from traditional manufacturing practices.

Reporting to the Quality and Business Improvement Manager, critical success factors include:

  • Lived technical and practical construction understanding
  • Deep knowledge of building regulations
  • Solutions-focused creativity
  • Leadership of projects
  • Team-first approach

Qualifications and advanced experience with the following is considered favourable:

  • Autodesk Revit
  • Certificate IV Engineering Drafting, Building Design Drafter or equivalent
  • architectural documentation
  • Knowledge of the modular building industry

To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter via this advertisement. Or call Chris Cork on 0447 226 466 for a confidential discussion.
