JOB DESCRIPTION

North South Carpentry & Joinery are looking for full-time skilled residential and commercial carpenters to join our team.

You must have at least 5 years of experience and be able to undertake high quality first

and second fix carpentry and commercial fit outs.

Formwork only work experience will not be considered sufficient for these roles.

You will need to be able to work with minimal supervision.

Your duties will be:

  • Plan and organise work;
  • Carry out setting out;
  • Read and interpret plans;
  • Carry out measurements and calculations;
  • Erect scaffolding;
  • Strict adherence to OH&S;
  • Carry out demolition of minor building works;
  • Safely use hand and power tools;
  • Construct timber external stairs;
  • Assemble partitions;
  • Install flooring systems;
  • Construct wall and ceiling frames;
  • Construct and erect roofs;
  • Install and replace windows and doors;
  • Frame and fit wet area fixtures;
  • Install panelling and moulding;
  • Refurbish timber sashes to window frames.
