Your new company

Hays are working closely with an organisation to find Gardeners / Trade Assistants for a dual role on a remote mine site village in South Australia. This role will see the successful candidates working within a large maintenance team who will be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of grounds and gardens as well as assisting with general duties as part of the wider maintenance team.

Your new role

As a member of the maintenance team you will use your gardening and landscaping skills to assist in both maintaining the grounds and landscape as well as working on beautification projects and improvements.

Your role will see you perform grounds maintenance, mowing, pruning, weeding, disposal of debris, chemical spraying as well as assisting the wider maintenance team that includes Electrician, Plumbers, Carpenters etc.

The role is on a 14 day on 7 day off roster, with all flights out of Adelaide.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following qualifications and tickets:

• C Class Driver’s Licence
• Horticulture Certificate (desirable)
• White Card

To be successful in this role you will need to have experience in:

• Manual handling
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience of horticultural, landscaping and general gardening practices
• Have experience using the tools of the trade: mower, brush cutter, hedger, etc.
• Experience working in a similar FIFO working environment is desirable.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake and pass a full pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test. Candidates will also require a police check that is no more than 6 months old.
