  • Relevant industry experience, preferably 3-5 years minimum within an estimating role
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, including specifications & schedules
  • The ability to liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers. Sound written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • A methodical approach to internal document control
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think analytically
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
  • The ability to review and query subcontractor quotes to ensure compliance with tender documentation
  • Knowledge of local rates for materials and labour to assist with developing project budgets
  • Experience with CostX Estimating software (or similar) to produce accurate take-offs.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Project and Excel
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work autonomously
  • Experience with scheduling desirable, but not a must
  • A trade qualification or tertiary degree would be highly regarded but is not essential.
