JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client, an organisation involved with the development and sale of technology products for the global industrial and automotive markets, based in the South Eastern Suburbs, requires a suitably qualified Desktop Support Engineer to start immediately for a 3-6 month temporary role.

Working closely with the Senior Infrastructure Engineers, the role involves providing 1st and 2nd level support to analyse and repair IT systems and equipment, providing immediate solutions where possible.

Key tasks will involve:
* 1st and 2nd level support - Desktop / Laptop / Mobile / Tablets / Printer and other peripheral hardware
* Troubleshooting and diagnosis of hardware faults on desktops & laptops
* Support of Windows operating systems
* Support of network services, printing and file storage
* Imaging and reimaging of desktops and laptops
* Deliver new and refreshed desktop, laptop, and tablet devices to customers in a timely manner with minimal customer impact.
* Working with other third parties to ensure that incidents and requests are closed within customer expectations

To be successful, you will have the following:
* Hands on experience with, network devices, servicing computer desktop, laptops, printers, networks and MS servers.
* Basic understanding of network technologies, including TCP/IP, sub netting and routing
* Strong hardware support knowledge (laptops, desktops, printers, routers)
* Experience with MS Office 2010, MS Windows 7/8/8.1/10, Outlook.
* Documentation skills
* Excellent written communication skills
* A Passion about customer service and technology.
