About the Role

We currently have an opportunity available for a reliable and motivated individual to join our workshop team as a Tradesperson - Auto Electrician.

As a Tradesperson you will support the workshop on a rotating shift basis, ranging Monday to Sunday. Auto electrical knowledge or aptitude is essential as key responsibilities will include:

Complying with safe work practices
Complete pre-task hazard assessments & permits
Ensuring coaches are in sound working order
Assisting in the detection of mechanical and electrical faults
Repairing/replacing parts under direction of Mechanics/Leading Hands
Accurately recording data in workshop system
Provide support within the workshop and yard areas
Understanding of fleet maintenance requirements

Essential Criteria and Experience:
Reliability and flexibility to do shift-work
Relevant Auto Electrical Trade Certification
Attention to detail
Current valid driver licence
Communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision to meet deadlines
Previous experience in a similar role

Desirable:
Heavy Vehicle drivers licence
Basic computer knowledge
Forklift licence
