Working for this higher education provider as an Enterprise Architect you will be responsible for leading, prioritising and developing the overall enterprise architecture discipline. You will be responsible for defining the EA process and architecture review and advisory process, and for leading the integration of those processes. 

Key activities

  • Lead the creation or evolution of the enterprise architecture capability
  • Understand the business's economic and financial levers that are susceptible to digital transformation, to effectively support and guide technology investment decisions
  • Demonstrate business value of EA as an enabler of strategy formulation, and as support for technology innovation
  • Provide internal management consultancy services to senior business leaders, business units and lines of business, help them with innovation management, IT investment analysis
  • Develop and present business capability models and roadmaps to facilitate discussion and decision making
  • Lead analysis of the business' future-state capabilities and future (and current) IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement and driving the business forward

Skills and experience

  • Extensive experience in Enterprise Architect across multiple IT disciplines, within a large complex environment 
  • Trusted and respected as a thought leader who can influence and persuade business and IT leaders.
  • Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Highly collaborative and supportive of business and of its ideas and strategies with experience working with senior business executives, and able to push back in a professional and diplomatic way
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms and processing environments
  • Practical in approach to decision making and problem solving that is principle-based
  • Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends
