JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client has asked DFP Recruitment to source a suitably qualified and experienced Coordinating Project Engineer – Low Voltage, for a 2 year assignment with the possibility for permanency, for a mid-May start date, based in East Perth.

The successful individual will work in the LV Critical Supplies Project which is part of the clients Resilience Program which includes a range of projects aimed at reducing the impact of major events on the rail network and the subsequent disruptions that affect the Government’s key objective to provide safe, accessible and efficient transport services that promote economic prosperity and enhance the lifestyle of all Western Australians. The CPE must have experience in the design and delivery of multi-disciplinary railway infrastructure projects in alignment with clients CPE Competency Matrix.
 
The successful individual appointed will:
 

  1. understand the requirements of the clients Procedure Engineering Management for Projects to support the Project Manager with the delivery of the relevant Stages of each project;
  2. be familiar with Project Management Framework;
  3. possess knowledge and experience of asset design practice, including compliance management
  4. understand the interfaces between the range of engineering disciplines on rail infrastructure projects
  5. demonstrates the leadership, management and communications skills to undertake the role;
  6. bring experience of safety in design practices;
  7. provide technical guidance and advice to project managers and project engineers;
  8. support project managers with the planning and monitoring of deliverables by design consultants
  9. participate in internal and external meetings as a technical representative for PTA projects; and
  10. participate in other tasks as required

They must also be comfortable and willing to communicate with numerous internal and external consultants and constructors on a daily basis. Must be a self-starter and pro-active in the identification and resolution of complex technical issues. Sound computer literacy, including MS Excel and document management systems.
