We are currently looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer, with a strong Team Leadership Focus.

  • Lead and guide design teams for designated project or project area to ensure the achievement of quality, completion and profit objectives.
  • Deliver best practice technical solutions in accordance with project scope, timeframes and standards.
  • Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members to account for standards.
  • Comply with all Ausenco corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and requirements.
  • Develop networks and relationships within teams, across the organisation and with clients.
  • Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong experience in EPC/EPCM projects and engineering consulting (Minerals Processing) in the mining and resources sectors, particularly copper and gold plants etc.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams including other engineering disciplines, procurement and design teams.
  • Experience developing and optimising plant layouts and designs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Design experience using HELIX, Rocky, Autopipe, PSFF, Hammer etc. highly regarded.
  • Sound understanding of current codes and standards including Australian and ASME.
  • Chartered Engineer / RPEQ or willing to work towards accreditation.
  • Willingness to travel desirable.
