LCI is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer for our Brisbane office. We are an engineering design house specialising in building services. We employ over 170 staff within five offices across Australia. We’ve built a phenomenal team.… and we are continuing to grow.

Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with engineers and clients to discuss existing or potential mechanical projects and products
- Design mechanical systems to customer requirements and specification that adheres to relevant health and safety standards, regulations and legislation
- Opportunity to learn and develop skills in Vertical Transport design
- Read design specifications and technical drawings, research suitable solutions and estimate costs and time
- Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish design specifications
- Attend meetings on-site to monitor work status and compliance to specifications
- Prepare documentation, write reports and give presentations to client/management
- Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications of mechanical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements
- Plan and manage projects from end-to-end or work in specific parts of a project cycle
- Develop budgets, estimating labour, material, and construction costs
- Work with others cooperatively in multidisciplinary teams to achieve desired project outcomes
- Professional development and Training
- Develop skills in the use Revit as design and drafting tool
- Develop skills in the use of Heat load estimation and energy modelling
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
- Working knowledge and experience with BIM/CAD software
- Advanced computer skills
- Demonstrated capacity to develop relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and negotiate desired outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to envision and deliver required solutions
- Ability to develop high-level technical competence and quality
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations
