Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with engineers and clients to discuss existing or potential mechanical projects and products
• Design mechanical systems to customer requirements and specification that adheres to relevant health and safety standards, regulations and legislation
• Opportunity to learn and develop skills in Vertical Transport design
• Read design specifications and technical drawings, research suitable solutions and estimate costs and time
• Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish design specifications
• Attend meetings on-site to monitor work status and compliance to specifications
• Prepare documentation, write reports and give presentations to client/management
• Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications of mechanical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements
• Plan and manage projects from end-to-end or work in specific parts of a project cycle
• Develop budgets, estimating labour, material, and construction costs
• Work with others cooperatively in multidisciplinary teams to achieve desired project outcomes

• Develop skills in the use Revit as design and drafting tool
• Develop skills in the use of Heat load estimation and energy modelling

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
• Working knowledge and experience with BIM/CAD software
• Advanced computer skills
• Demonstrated capacity to develop relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and negotiate desired outcomes
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to envision and deliver required solutions
• Ability to develop high-level technical competence and quality
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations
