ElectraNet owns, builds, operates and maintains the South Australian high voltage transmission network that delivers electricity from generators to distributors and major load connected customers, enabling power to be supplied to homes, businesses and communities.

The Opportunity

By providing agile and innovative engineering solutions we continue to be a key driver in South Australia’s Energy Transformation. Our diverse project base includes the augmentation and replacement of critical infrastructure and new renewable energy connections into the network. To support this portfolio of work, we are looking for an experienced Civil Structural Engineer to join our Project Engineering team.

The Role

In this role you will be responsible for developing concept designs and specifications with the full asset life cycle in mind. You will have the opportunity to contribute to significant electricity infrastructure projects in SA and will undertake detailed design reviews, on site supervision and witness testing to ensure compliance with ElectraNet standards. You will be an integral team player and resource on projects, taking proactive steps to ensure projects are delivered successfully. 

About You

As a professional and highly competent engineer you will have:

• Excellent knowledge and experience with structural engineering design that can be applied to substations and transmission lines
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders to resolve complex technical problems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to enable you to provide commercially sound and pragmatic solutions
• An agile approach, focusing on what matters most
• An open and collaborative style so we can support each other
• Degree in Civil Structural Engineering

An understanding of legislation and regulations pertaining to the Certification of structural designs will also be advantageous.
