The Role:

Architectural Draftsperson

Hours:

Full Time (38 hours per week) in our Taree office, will include some Saturdays

We pride ourselves on being innovative in our approach to design and use of products, and this has been acknowledged in the Design Awards received over the years.

About the Role:

We are looking for an energetic and tech-savvy architectural draftsperson with an eye for detail to join our design team in Taree.

If you like working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of projects, this position is for you! Having a positive can-do attitude, a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic is key to becoming a part of our team.

Key Daily Responsibilities: 

  • Design and drafting of conceptual design plans
  • Design and drafting of DA and construction drawings
  • Site inspections and measuring of existing premises
  • Site investigations and review of relative codes for compliance, design constraints and approval options
  • BASIX Certificates
  • Coordination of external consultants
  • Client liaison
  • General administrative duties

Essential Criteria - Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

  • Experience using REVIT for residential drafting and 3D modeling
  • Residential construction knowledge
  • Proficient in the use of Office 365 (word, excel, outlook)
  • Demonstrated time management and planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Well-developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills including sound problem solving skills
  • Current drivers license

Desired Criteria - Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

  • Understanding of legislative regulations including, but not limited to, SEPP codes, LEP and local council development control plans
  • Be familiar with current building design standards including but not limited to, NCC 2019 and Australian Standards
  • Previous experience using BASIX
  • Previous experience working with an online driven platform such as Workflow Max or Xero would be an advantage
