The fusion of experience and exuberance has allowed our client to take what, to most, would just be ideas and turn them into delicious foods and beverages and related products.

They produce products for a broad range of Australian clients in various sectors of the food industry and export products to over 15 countries globally and growing.

Our client requires an experienced Engineering Technologist who can optimise and coordinate the company’s manufacturing processes and associated factory operations

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and optimising production (and associated costs)
  • Designing and manipulating our manufacturing machinery, settings, and process using engineering knowhow to solve problems and ensure required production outcomes are effectively achieved.
  • Documenting all requirements including drafting specifications, machinery plans and as required modification required to plant, parts and machinery
  • Monitoring the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machines and achieve maximum efficiency under safe operating conditions
  • Monitoring processes to ensure procedures are aligned with engineering principles and safety regulations
  • Performing test procedures when required reviewing test reports and material certification to ensure quality assurance
  • Managing the costing and ensure availability of all required inputs
  • Maintaining the required work performance oversee best practise waste handling
  • Establish supervise specifications for manufacturing to ensure all quality and production requirements are met

Successful applicants can demonstrate

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant fields
  • At least 2 years (preferably more) highly relevant professional experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Well developed communication skills
