A bit about your role

Based in Lithgow/ Bathurst, your new role as a Field Engineer would require you to represent nbn’s Field Services team for all field-based network activities. You would be primarily responsible for completing assurance and maintenance activities but may be relied upon for integration, augmentation and other support activities as required.

You will provide high level field support which will involve frequent regional travel, scheduled after hours activities, and we may require you to be part of an on-call roster and respond to afterhours call outs.

The role would see you:

Manage and conduct equipment and system level Service Assurance activities in the field

Quality improvement and inspection of network construction activities and investigation of early-onset faults

Provide on-site, complex, technical and ad-hoc network support

Resolve technical service and network escalations

Provide support for changes or upgrade to network elements

A bit about you

Permanently residing in the Lithgow/ Bathurst area you would come from a technical field background, ideally with strong network assurance experience in one or more nbn technologies. Copper and FTTN skills are highly desirable.

You would be a natural problem solver with a methodological approach. Having the aptitude to learn quickly would be an advantage in this role.

Given the nature of this role, you would have the ability to be flexible and adaptable. You would be working to deadlines and managing your own priorities. You will be a highly organised team player, with the ability to adapt to a changing and dynamic work environment.
