Position: Production Engineer

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $100,000.00 plus superannuation at 9.5% per annum & and company vehicle.

Location: Wynnum QLD 4178

Working as the principal contractor, or specialist subcontractor, our client, undertakes civil infrastructure projects in a variety of sectors including road, rail, port and airport largely in, but not limited to, Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Established for more than 14 years the company is now in expansionary mode and seeks to engage an experienced Production Engineer to accelerate its development over the next 5 years.

Tasks required include:

• The implementation of the Integrated Management System (IMS) throughout the company;
• Ongoing development of IMS, policies and procedures to ensure that all relevant legislation and industry guidelines are met or exceeded;
• Quality control of all documentation and electronic records within the IMS; the consultation process with all relevant staff to determine IMS documentation content with a focus on continuous improvement;
• Implementation of all the relevant Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Management Plans and Procedures throughout the business;
• Conduct of systems and compliances audits, inspections and preparation of audit reports and implement improvements;
• Project IMS and HSE documentation issue and maintenance;
• Adherence to HSE Plans on site and that all worksite construction activities are carried out in compliance with the system, project and legislative obligations;
• IMS and HSE inductions for all project employees (including subcontractors and visitors) are being carried out;
• Allocation of suitably qualified staff throughout the site to cover all construction areas with properly communicated responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Environmental Science or other relevant qualification with a systems focus;
• Diploma or higher degree in Leadership and Management
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in Australia or overseas
• Minimum of 5 years working in regulated environment
• Deep knowledge and understanding of 21 CFR Part 11 Electronic Records
• Deep knowledge and understanding of GxP and GAMP 5 guidelines
• Knowledge of AS/NZS 4801, ISO 18001 Safety, ISO 14001 Environmental
• Knowledge of internal/external auditing process (Lead/Internal Auditor – added advantage).

In addition the successful candidate should have:

• Freedom to travel and work on remote sites
• Demonstrated strong project management skills
• Excellent communications skills.
