The opportunity


Our Ports and Maritime team work on a variety of maritime infrastructure projects across the public, private and defence sectors. With a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for a Civil Engineer with Ports and Maritime experience to join our team in Brisbane.

You’ll be working on a wide variety of Port and Coastal engineering projects across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands and be part of a team of highly skilled professionals who will want to help you advance your technical, client management and job management skills.

About You

You will have a Civil engineering degree and while starting on your career have some professional experience in port/marine infrastructure projects in a consulting environment. We are looking for a candidate that also has:

  • Experience of a range of assignments within the maritime market including experience across technical, delivery and client-facing activities.
  • Experience with the design and delivery of ports and coastal projects.
  • Familiar with Australian and local codes and technical standards applicable to the design development of marine structures.
  • Familiar with international codes and standards applicable to the maritime business (i.e. IBC, British Standards, PIANC, OCIMF, USACE etc.)
You should be working toward, and near to becoming a Chartered Engineer (CPEng or equivalent) and achieving RPEQ status.

Flexibility, proactivity and an understanding of the importance of teamwork in a consultancy setting are essential attributes in this role. In addition, you will possess excellent communication skills, well developed interpersonal skills, and the ability to display initiative.
