Hays Specialist Recruitment have partnered with a local construction company to bring you a unique opportunity to join this award winning local commercial builder. They are now looking for a Site foreman to deliver one of their projects on Defence base in Darwin.

Your new role
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will assist with:

• Leading and directing internal trades, equipment and resources at the construction site.
• Ensuring sufficient deployment and productivity of internal trades and sub-contractors.
• Organizing and coordinating the daily activities of all internal trades members, subcontractors, equipment and utilize corrective action to keep the project on time and on budget.
• Ensuring materials are used to contract specifications.
• Reviewing construction schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates are met.
• Liaising with Manager on a variety of employee related issues, including employee development, recruitment, benefits, training, terminations, and investigations.
• Conducting daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role you will have:

• Valid Trade Qualification.
• Proven similar experience in Construction Industry.
• Proven ability to manage, prioritise and plan work to meet deadlines, utilising initiative, leadership and problem solving.
• Proven ability to work independently and also as part of a cross-cultural, multi-disciplined and high-performing team.
• Ability to supervise, motivate, mentor and train other staff as required

For this role the Australian Defence Clearance is required.
