MACA Interquip is a division of MACA Ltd and is a multi-disciplinary company with a proven track record in delivering small to large scale SMP projects, new and refurbished plant and equipment and consumables to the mineral processing sector of the resources industry.

You will have the opportunity to lead an exceptional Engineering team, as well as providing technical support to the Project Managers, draftspeople, Discipline Engineers, and Construction Manager whilst growing and supporting the MACA Interquip engineering operations. This position is Perth based, but some site travel is required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Allocate work to direct reports, as well as developing and coaching as required.
  • Manage work within agreed budgets and estimates.
  • Managing employees, as well as working with HR in hiring of new personnel
  • Review engineering and construction standards and specifications
  • Review plant designs both during development, and after commissioning, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide support to project managers.
  • Assist in the development of tender estimates and management of budgets.
  • Visit projects as required.
  • Liaising with existing and prospective clients
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
  • Requires a Tertiary qualification in Engineering or relevant technical field.
  • Proven experience in the construction and mining industry with demonstrated experience in mineral process plant operation and maintenance and project development and design
  • Advanced MS Excel Skills and proficient in MS Suite of Software
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk platform (AutoCAD, Inventor, Plant 3D, Advance Steel)
  • High level of attention to Detail
  • Proven ability to drive sound commercial outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with people at all levels
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills.
  • Strong coaching, mentoring and change management skills.
  • Current Police Clearance or able to obtain one
  • Current Drivers Licence
