Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking a Project Engineering Manager to join our Mining and Minerals team based in our Perth office. This is a key role in delivering a variety of interesting projects in battery metals and other key commodities. The incumbent will work closely within the project and the engineering team to effectively deliver projects and studies and further improve the engineering systems, processes and support requirements in the office.

Reporting to the Technical Director – Engineering functionally and to Project / Study Managers while working on projects, you will manage the engineering design for specific studies and projects to ensure that designs are in accordance with project requirements and company objectives.

Key duties:

  • Provide input to project and design activities
  • Establish client requirements for documentation, design review and design deliverables
  • Review all designs activities and ensure design deliverables are produced on time and within budget
  • Effectively manage and lead a high performing team to achieve team objectives
  • Continuously work on improving engineering systems and methodologies

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution
  • 15 years design or project engineering experience, with 10+ years in the mining and metals processing field
  • Working knowledge of the design, construction and commissioning processes
