We are currently seeking an experienced Project Development Engineer for an organisation in based in Perth’s southern suburbs.

This is an initial contract position with the potential to extend. You’ll be working for a stable organisation, who have a strong pipeline of work ahead. You’ll have the support of an established team around you too.

This role is heavily focused towards Civil Projects. Your portfolio will cover roads, paths, drainage and other civil infrastructure. 

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing multiple capital works projects and programs.
• Preparing and administer project briefs, tender documentation and expressions of interest briefs.
• Liaising with stakeholders across the directorate to ensure projects are developed for delivery.
• Assisting with the collection and collation of information for pre concept projects, concept plans, design and project plans.
• Ensuring all designs, projects and works are executed in accordance with relevant industry standards.

They require someone with:

• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering with at least 5 years’ experience in similar position.
• Strong working knowledge of design principles (roads, paths, drainage and public infrastructure) and municipal engineering practices and standards.
• Previous experience in the design, cost estimate, and tender document preparation.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant Australian Design & Drafting Standards.
• Well-developed experience in the use and application of relevant design software.
• Advanced survey knowledge.
• Experience in Grant funding applications and financial management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (including negotiation and report writing).
• Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
• Advanced Work Site Traffic Management accreditation.
• Proficiency in using the use of AutoCAD and MS Office software.
