Signalling Engineers or a Principal Signal Design Engineer

My client is a Global Design Consultancy that specialise in Major Infrastructure projects all over the world. Since the organisation began over 75 years ago, they have been a leader in the built environment across design who are always striving to make smarter solutions for their clients. To this date, they now have over 30,000 employees and over 350 offices all over the world.

Signalling Engineers or a Principal Signal Design Engineer

Experience

With an exciting portfolio of rail work won in Sydney and interstate, our client is looking to grow! I am searching for Signalling Engineers or a Principal Signal Design Engineer.

  • Contributing to feasibility studies, business case preparation, and concept design;
  • Signal design and preparation of interlocking data, signalling plans, track insulation plans, control tables and circuit design for new and altered works;
  • Ensuring that the signalling designs produced conform to quality procedures and Australian railway operator standards;
  • Managing small scale designs autonomously; and
  • Taking a lead on mentoring, coaching, and developing junior engineers and graduates.
Who are we looking for?

You will be a qualified signalling professional with extensive experience in the rail industry.
  • Previous experience in signaling detailed design on complex major rail projects;
  • Understanding of Operational Modelling, Systems Engineering, and Type Approval Process;
  • A patient nature; the ability to mentor and lead others and take and receive constructive feedback;
  • Effective communication skills and ability to liaise with other divisions of Arcadis, clients, contractors, suppliers, regulatory; authorities, users, and trade staff for the supply of signalling design systems; and
  • RIW, AEO, and ARTC competencies will all be highly regarded.
