Naval Group Australia (NGA) is seeking a Production Engineering Manager to join the Future Submarine program. The largest and most ambitious defence acquisition program Australia has ever undertaken. Professional challenges don’t come any bigger than this.

Reporting to the Submarine Construction Yard (SCY) Operational Readiness Manager, the role will involve leading the creation and management of the Production Engineering capability. This capability is responsible for developing design products which support the execution of Attack Class build activities.

More specifically, the Production Engineering Manager will:
Create and deploy the overall production design system in conjunction with relevant teams.
Support the development of the platform certification and acceptance system.
Establish the schedule and workload for the design activities.
Manage the sourcing and selection of Australian subcontractors to support the production engineering activities.

To be successful in this position, the role suits a candidate that has:

A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Extensive experience in the management of major engineering projects, ideally in an industrial, defence and or submarine/shipbuilding environment.
Demonstrated experience leading a large engineering team.
Excellent relationship building, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
