Wedderburn is a very well-established company and a leading supplier/service provider of weighing equipment throughout Australia and New Zealand.

You will join an experienced and dedicated team becoming proficient with the operation and technical aspects relating to networking, operating systems, hardware and software products, including PC based weighing solutions.

Some of your duties will include:

  • In depth research, analysis and development of systems incorporating pc’s, networks & weighing solutions
  • Software customisations to meet customer requirements
  • Software/hardware upgrades and integration to support various applications associated with weighing & labelling solutions
  • Support a variety of technical platforms (Hardware, Software & Databases / Ethernet & Wireless)
  • Determine opportunities for improvement through fault diagnostics and documenting accordingly
  • Provide training
  • Calibration & Verification of weighing equipment

This role requires an individual who possesses a dedication to providing excellent customer service, a 'can do' attitude, and the following;

  • Appropriate qualifications is an associated field or industry experience
  • Knowledge of low power Intel based hardware
  • Knowledge of Linux operating system
  • Knowledge of Windows 7/10 embedded & applications
  • PC/Networking knowledge

The ideal candidate should posses the following attributes:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication (Major in Computing)
  • Excellent analysis and problem solving skills, for Intel based hardware and Windows & Linux software
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Be positive & self motivated
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
  • A willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to work with people at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to multitask
