We have an opportunity for a qualified electrical engineer to join our Regional Application Centre for our Secure Power Business. Based in Sydney this role is responsible for the development of effective, credible and timely techno-commercial responses supporting our sales, execution and service teams. The Regional Application Centre is responsible for the delivery of a variety of sized projects from small single applications through to complex multi-solution technical packages with high levels of system integration worth in excess of $12M. Our customers are as diverse as our projects and include existing and new commercial, infrastructure, healthcare, prefabricated and traditional data centres.
Selected Responsibilities Will Include
- Support sales by developing customer intimacy and demonstrating thought leadership
- Develop and support consistent submissions of best in class competitive bids, whilst ensuring profitability
- Conducting pre-qualification assessments, solution go/no go approval, bid management
- Drive pricing improvement and standardisation initiatives, subcontractor compliance, estimating processes and solutions design efficiency
- Drive engagement with the consulting engineering community to achieve subscription of Schneider products and services
- Tertiary electrical engineering or similar qualification is essential
- Expertise in data centre or other critical infrastructure design including, battery systems, BMS and DCIM’s
- Strong experience with the pre-sales function for large projects including business process and cadence frameworks
- An understanding of the IT ecosystem and what is current best practice “in the rack”
- Possess communications and articulations skills commensurate with a client-facing role
