Due to recent and successful win of contracted services in the local Mount Isa region, we have a full time opportunity available for an experienced Security Site Supervisor to commence immediately.

This role will form part of our professional development framework. Successful candidates will be enrolled in our leadership and development program within 12 months.

Job Description

The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will also build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders.

Locally based, you will work within the permanent rotational 4 on 4 off roster and will be mobile and responsible for the following:

  • Conduct random visits to its personnel on Site.
  • Managing performance of the on-duty security personnel
  • Incident management
  • Drug and alcohol testing
  • Escorting of vehicles
  • Carry out supervisory inspections to ensure personnel are performing in accordance with obligations under this Contract.
  • Develop and maintain a standard operation procedures (SOP) document for each Work Area.
  • Maintain a training program for the personnel to perform their duties to the highest professional standards, commensurate with the security duties to deliver to the objectives set out in this Contract.
  • Perform any security administrative and reporting duties as required
  • Compile regular reports, and other incidental reports as and when appropriate or necessary.
Desired Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria:
  • Certificate II in Security Operations
  • Hold an Individual Class 1 Security Licence - Unarmed Security Officer
  • Hold current Senior First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Drug and Alcohol Testing certification
  • Current Queensland Drivers Licence
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff
  • Have an intermediate level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills and use of radio
  • Ability to write thorough incident reports and logs (Word and Excel).
  • Excellent personal presentation and customer service skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and multi task during pressure situations
