As an infrastructure engineer for Devices, Peripherals and End User Compute within the Stores Infrastructure Engineering (SIE) team, you will be primarily responsible for integrating devices into the stores infrastructure and workstations and tools across all trading business units as well as assist in the teams day to day engineering operations.

We are seeking an engineer who can adapt their skills to an infrastructure environment to improve agility and transform the way we work. Having refreshed our infrastructure in stores we are moving to combine software deployment practices with infrastructure operations to vastly improve the reliability, security and rate of change through automation.

Design and implement solutions in over trading sites across Australia and New Zealand for Australia’s top retailer. With nearly 3,000 trading sites and 150,000 endpoints, this is a unique opportunity to make massive changes and influence industry trends and practises especially in IoT.

Technical Details

  • Experience within infrastructure engineering, development, and/or design.
  • Strong scripting/development of infrastructure in remote sites (preferably MS based deployments).
  • Ability to reverse engineer and understand complex solutions.
  • Depth and breadth of knowledge across workstation SOE and packaging methodologies.
  • Good understanding of physical and wireless networking.
  • Demonstrated experience in infrastructure and service design, working with vendors and third parties to deliver desired outcomes at scale.
  • Willingness to keep up-to-date with industry trends and directions to ensure solutions will provide business with forward compatible, scalable and flexible solutions.
  • Disciplined approach to documentation creation and review.
