Our Tunnel Systems team focuses on road tunnel, rail and other transport projects and integrates fire safety, tunnel ventilation, fire protection and mechanical engineering with industry leading specialists in each field. This integrated approach is unique and as the largest team of its type dedicated to transport infrastructure, puts us at the forefront of the industry in the Australia New Zealand region.
Our team sits in our wider Transport business. Together with our specialist fire team in the Property business, is proven successful; with a healthy growing workload of large and small projects. We are seeking an experienced Tunnel Ventilation Engineer, to join our Tunnel Systems Team, to help deliver our portfolio of projects and develop and grow our diverse team in Australia.
You will be based in Melbourne, working on a range of projects across the Australia New Zealand region. Our clients include major contractors, government, transport owner operators and safety regulators.
Provide high quality tunnel ventilation technical expertise (design and analysis) for a range of projects
PM on small to Organizationerate sized ventilation projects, task manager on all types of projects
Deliver a knowledgeable, technically excellent service, that is timely, responsive to client needs, efficient and cost effective
Monitor and manage the scope of projects of varying complexity & size
Participate in the sharing of information between the Tunnel Systems teams in Australia and globally across Company
Work collaboratively with colleagues from all parts of the Company businesses

Bachelors Degree (Engineering) minimum
Chartered Engineer in Mechanical Engineering (Engineers Australia or equivalent)
5+ years’ experience
Experienced in providing high quality tunnel ventilation technical expertise (design and analysis) for a range of projects
Expert knowledge of fluid dynamics
Experienced user of 1-D Organizationelling software SES/SVS and/or IDA
Experienced user of 3D Organizationelling software, for example OpenFoam
Experience in applying fire safety engineering aspects to road and / or rail projects
