JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Perth Planning and Mobility / ITS team are looking for our next Electrical Engineer to join our close-knit team to contribute to ITS projects on a permanent basis. The opportunity would challenge you in growing our ITS and traffic signals capability in WA and present opportunities to contribute on projects nationally across Australia.

· Demonstrated competence in ITS Design and Electrical calculations.
· Developing ability to prepare technical reports on small to medium projects and sections of larger reports.
· Assisting in the preparation of specifications, proposals, and other documentation under supervision.
· Client focussed thinking to develop cost-effective and appropriate solutions that meet the needs of both public and/or private-sector clients.
· Working with your Planning and Mobility colleagues and colleagues from other disciplines with a collaborative mindset.
· Positively engaging with the team to contribute and grow our excellent culture
· Developing new and maintaining existing client relationships.

Qualifications/Requirements

Company encourages and supports ongoing personal and professional development. To be successful in this position it is anticipated that you will possess the following qualifications / requirements.
· Bachelor’s Degree (e.g. Electrical Engineering).
· Proven years experience in Main Roads WA (AS/NZ 30002018 Wiring Rules Standards) in at least one of the electrical asset disciplines e.g. lighting, ITS and traffic signals.
· AutoCad experience essential.
· CPEng accreditation / working towards (highly desirable). Company can provide support for this.
· A commitment to safety in the workplace.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.
· A strong work ethic, self-starter and ability to relate well to both work colleagues within a team environment and external parties.
