Your Next Employer is a reputable builder, working predominantly across Multi-Residential, Commercial and Industrial projects around South East QLD, typically up to $40M in value. Due to ongoing success and building strong relationships with their clients an opportunity has arises for a strong Estimator to join their close knit team.

Your Role will be to work as an integral part of the Estimating team, estimating projects up to $40M in value across Industrial, Commercial and Multi-Residential projects. In this role you will be supported by those around you and be responsible for:

• Preparing BOQ's, take offs, purchase orders & post contract variations
• accurate and timely trade break ups of documentation, appropriate trade subcontractor selection lists, and liaising with subcontractors to ensure they have a full understanding of the required scope of works and programme
• Ensuring quality & integrity of estimates produced
• Identify levels of contingency & risk for managerial assessment

Your Experience will be working with a previous building construction company working on a variety of commercial and multi-residential projects. You will have at least 3 - 5 years of previous estimating experience ideally across Design & Construct as well as hard dollar tenders.

• Tertiary qualifications in construction or quantity surveying
• Experience estimating Design & Construct, negotiated and hard dollar tenders
• Ability to engage with subcontractors and develop loyal and ongoing relationships
• A thorough understanding of the building process and reading of construction drawings to enable accurate pricing
• Ability to accurately produce reasonable and appropriate rates with available information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen an eye for detail is essential
