The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (the City) is progressing the iconic Kal City Centre Project and associated works to deliver an economic transformation in the heart of Kalgoorlie Central Business District through a regenerated public realm that supports numerous attractions, investments, and experiences. The Project construction has recently been tendered with a preferred tenderer nominated and the contract will be awarded in the near future.

Prior to commencing the Kal City Centre Project, the City will be undertaking a major upgrade to its historic Hannan Street, by replacing existing paved footpaths with feature in-situ concrete, providing a safe, renewed footpath for pedestrians, property owners, tenants, and businesses to access. The Hannan Street Upgrade will be tendered in February.

This position is responsible for overseeing the successful construction and delivery of both of these Projects (and others that may be added) by acting as the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder's Construction Superintendent to ensure the quality, time and cost requirements are met.

The successful applicant must possess considerable civil engineering expertise, familiarity with electrical and water infrastructure and the skills, knowledge and experience to perform competently as the superintendent under the contract (AS 4000 General Conditions of Contract).

Previous experience working in public spaces will be well regarded.

Genuine candidates for the position must demonstrate a disposition to hit the ground running and will be interviewed immediately for a March 2021 commencement.

Total Package
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
