WOW Recruitment are looking for an Entry Level Service Desk Engineer to join a rapidly expanding MSP, based in Sydney CBD to start ASAP!

This is an amazing opportunity for a recent graduate looking to commence their career in the information technology space, or someone with up to two years help desk experience looking to take their next step. Full on the job training will be provided to help you develop the skills you need for a successful career as a Help Desk Engineer.

Our client provides a number of solutions within IT services, ranging from managed services to cloud computing, connectivity and IT procurement with incredible service and care.
You will be responsible for:

As an Entry Level Service Desk Engineer, your passion and amazing customer service will help you focus on providing hardware and software support which meets user and business requirements.

  • Conduct PC setups, backup checks and test restores
  • Complete PC and server basic proactive maintenance
  • Answering incoming technical support calls and logging tickets
  • Correctly log, monitor and track service requests using Service Desk Management systems
  • Assist with the installation of third-party hardware and software
  • Liaise with vendors/suppliers to report faults and organise repairs and replacements
  • Investigate, diagnose, resolve or escalate service requests in line with Service Level Agreements and skillset for this role
  • Ensuring clients are updated with regular ticket status
  • Provide support for on-site consultants, engineers and trainers
  • Be able to communicate technical terms to potentially non-technical stakeholders

You will bring:

  • Tertiary or Industry Certified qualifications or relevant work experience
  • Basic IT, O365, Windows, PC and user support (highly desirable but not essential)
  • Passionate about the IT industry and eager to learn
  • Strong customer service, attention to detail and work ethic
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and time management skills
