Canterbury Bankstown Council has realigned their City Assets Department and is now looking for a Manager Open Spaces and Buildings Maintenance to lead their team into the future.

You will be a proactive professional with experience in managing people through change and process improvement initiatives.

The Role:

The Manager Open Space and Buildings Maintenance provides direction and leadership to the Open Space and Buildings Maintenance teams which are widely considered the face of Council to our community.

The role will develop leadership at all levels and ensure a customer-centric culture that oversees the daily operations of both programmed and reactive maintenance for our open space and buildings assets.

You will be responsible for leading collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure day-to-day services are aligned with strategic intent, community expectations, and with the customer at the centre of their leadership decision-making.

The role will also provide ongoing operational and strategic support to the Director to meet overall Department and organisational obligations.

You will have:

•Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
•Current C Class Drivers’ Licence
•Demonstrated experience in the development of leadership at all levels and performance management of team members
•Demonstrated experience and knowledge across several functional areas within relevant field and collaboratively working with internal/external stakeholders
•Demonstrated experience in change management, continuous business improvement, and digital transformation of processes/operations
•Demonstrated skills in developing business unit plans and strategies to deliver services within budget and agreed service levels
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to form positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, groups, organisations, and individuals.

The Total Renumeration Package (TRP) range for this opportunity is dependent on skills and experience and has a commencing TRP of $153,537 (base salary of $123,322 plus Car Allowance of $16,894.80 and 9.5% Super). This position also includes 5 weeks annual leave and access to Health and Wellbeing Programs.
