AGITO Group are an Engineering company looking for passionate staff that want to be part of a positive team. We provide innovative materials handling systems and automation for a variety of industries including beverage, brewery, FMCG, food, meat and logistics. AGITO work closely with our customers to develop unique solutions that deliver a competitive advantage, and R&D is a big part of our business. 


We are looking to expand our team and have a number of Automation and Controls projects to work on over the next twelve months. 


The Role 

This role would suit an experienced Project Engineer who has the ability to co-ordinate and schedule multiple projects. Developing, following and updating the Gantt Chart is a critical part of this process, and MS Project skill level must be intermediate. 


Projects include the manufacture of Materials Handling System and Controls systems, automated plant and equipment, equipment relocation and removal and development of SCADA Systems. This position will be based in our Perth (Canning Vale) office. 


The Project Engineer will be responsible for the implementation of a project, encompassing both the design and build through to integration of equipment into our clients facilities. Ensuring the team meets reporting requirements and milestones across design, procurement, manufacture and installation is a priority. 


Administration and Risk Management will also form one of the fundamentals to this role. You will be responsible for managing and reporting on budgets, cost control, variations, implementing and maintaining (WHS) policies and procedures and monitoring compliance. 


You will ideally have had experience in automation and the integration of materials handling systems, however this is not a necessity. We are looking for someone who is available for start immediately. 


Attributes 

  • Excellent Mechanical Engineering experience in the Materials Handling sector. 
  • A 'can do' attitude backup by 3 to 5 years Project Management experience 
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, diary management, reporting and meeting deadlines are critical 
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work across all levels from Trades on site to the Customer 
  • Ability to plan ahead and forecast the critical path 


Specific Tasks 

  • Working on quotations and Engineering Concepts with the sales team and directly with customers 
  • Managing small projects and service works 
  • Management of Project Gantt Chart & Weekly Client reporting 
  • Weekly reporting on budget and cost controls 
  • Monitoring and weekly reporting on critical path, job progress, anticipated obstacles and potential solutions
  • Documented risk assessment, management and control 
  • Management of site resources including trades, equipment and materials 


Qualifications 

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree qualification
