Avant Build Pty Ltd is looking for a permanent full-time experienced civil engineer to join the engineering team within the company. The company has many projects that requires the expertise of a civil engineer to oversee and involve in the projects in which they can develop and grow the business.

• Be comfortable and confident meeting clients and undertaking site inspections.
• Coordinate and prepare designs and documentation for Civil projects.
• Designing and analysing solutions to complex civil engineering problems from broad concepts to fine details.
• Determine construction methods, materials and quality standards.
• Review and interpret technical documentation including drawings and project specifications, and determine the appropriate materials, and installation procedures.
• Prepare reports with necessary technical justification.
• Ensure company and client deadlines, commitments and expectations are met.

• Review designs against limits of time, cost and quality targets.
• Provide professional advice to internal and external customers, and to the position supervisor, in a manner that is timely, accurate, complete and demonstrates good judgment.

• Comply with and keep abreast of any relevant legislation applicable to the performance of the duties of this position

Preferred Application with skills and experience expectations:

• Tertiary qualifications at degree level in a relevant field such as Civil Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Over 3 years work experience as an Civil Engineer
• The ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines while balancing competing demands.
• Exception verbal communication and writing skills
• Previous experience in commercial and residential projects is an advantage.

The successful candidate will be offered a salary package between $65,000 - $75,000 per year + super.
