The Role

A unique opportunity currently exists in Northrop's Canberra office for an experienced Senior Hydraulic Engineer with local market credibility and proven experience to take a lead role in our Hydraulic Section. You will be responsible for the growth and performance of the section, including project delivery, client development and business performance and the team.

You will play a key role in the office by leading the Hydraulic section of the Canberra business.

Key components of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering various types of hydraulic projects across various industries, healthcare, education, commercial etc.
  • Technical excellence ensuring a high quality of work is maintained by the team;
  • Project leadership including running large projects concurrently
  • The opportunity to manage challenging, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Business development and client liaison externally along with internal collaboration to deliver projects from internal clients, for example, our Sydney Hydraulic Section.
  • Report writing and relevant business reporting
  • Managing the and growing the hydraulic team.

The Candidate

We are seeking applications from candidates with the following attributes:

  • Experience – Well established hydraulic market experience; current (or previous) presence as a consulting hydraulic engineer within the Canberra region.
